Connection Problems

Hi, I'm new here and I am having some issues getting onto the game.

When I double click the desktop icon, it goes through an establishing connection prossess, and then says it can't establish connection. Then a window appears and it had Andromina on it and it says its online. I know there probably isn't something wrong with my internet connection, so what do you think is the issue?

This is more than likely a login failure, are you sure you're supplying the right username and password?

I haven't been able to login at all. The first time I tried to connect (when I made my username\pass), I get "Connection Refused"

Make sure you're using the latest client (1.41.2 at the moment).

What username are you trying to connect with?

i'm having the same problem...

Perhaps we're using routers and we need to open certain ports?

No.

Look, if people don't give me their username I can't do anything about it... if you're having problems, tell me what name you're trying to log in with (main account name, not nickname or anything) and I'll see if the galaxy server has anything to say about it.

The username I chose was "ryan"

Well, taking a quick glance at the gal server reveals someone trying to log in with that name about a million times (plus various variants) when their Unique ID is associated with a different login name. Ie, if that's you, you're not connecting with the username you registered with.

All I did was enter a username\pass to login with (ryan was the username, ird was the nickname). I haven't changed anything since then.

Could you just delete it and let me try again?

Hmm. K Ryan, i can't help you immediately. There's a record for "ryan" on the galaxy but no record of your UID showing up in the galaxy logs. I'm not gonna wipe it just yet cos there might be something odd going on. Lemme see what mit has to say and I'll post again when I've got some more info.

I uninstalled the game (and deleted the folder), and removed all the registry info. I tried again, and now I don't get connection refused, I just get the "No response..." error.

That was a stupid thing to do, it's probably cos your username is taken... Can't do anything, try making a new topic, or posting in the sticky with deleting account, someone should do something there.
