Wings Field - Plane Combat and Fun Flying
Wings field is now open in system M-209 for those of you who have a stardrive.
its basicly a knockoff of Biplaneworld modified to have a slightly bigger economy and many more vehicles. To get started on it, just log in, and start transfering items around between the buildings to make money. when you have enough money you can buy weapons or a vehicle to fight with or to speed up transfering.
Time runs on the island, but at a slow pace 1 day per 6 hours. time isen't needed to run for the buildings to produce, its only running to make the top wealth lists work.
If you want to get galaxy credits, you will have to fight with other players. Fighting awards 1 kudos per kill. the exchange rate will be 10 kudos per credit. Thier is currently no starport on the island, so don't bother asking about it or looking for it. I have removed it because its still useing the old exchange rate of 100s per credit. when mit can change to change the exchange rate i'll build the starport again.

But Zar... can you make it so Chem, oil, and Ore are degradable in the facts? Some idoit ruined the ecom by putting 100 of each in everything...

not without making every item in every building start to decay at the same low amount.

nope, unfortunatly the max capacity is calculated by the total amount of the ingredients to make the max stuff it can hold. could lower the buildings to max 1 vehicle, but then they'd need very little steel.
but, i did increase the ore mines to 1k per min, still max 10k. and the steel mill can make 1k, 2k or 5k per min depending on how much ore it has.
also stagered the vehicle times so that it wont be forced to only make the first vehicle each time.
Few things...
Bombs don't work.. I don't know about grenades.
Weapons have space! ARGH! Now being that you can't store things because of no houses you can't have a bunch of weapons, only certain ones for certain vehicles... which I suppose is a good thing...
The F16 now has the Stealth bomber model, and I don't know what the Stealth bomber has, being that I don't have it.
I like the forest, But what is paper used for?
Lastly, PEOPLE! GO OVER TO WINGS FIELD! I have not seen anyone on but Zar who is away there for the last week! GET OVER THERE!

am thinking about adding houses. main reason for thinking it is because i was thinking of making you loose all your inventory when you get blown up by another player. the houses could easily be used to hold your other vehicles, but vehicles are cheap so they are also easily replaceable and thus not that much need to preserve them.
i added another vehicle to the jet fac, its a plane called a Pyro-GX from the old computer game Descent. so 1 of the 2 f16s were removed and the stealth was moved down a slot. the items are renamed in the items list, just haven't restarted the server yet. nobodies on now so i just did it.
paper is used by the navigation fac. 10000 paper makes 1 Case Of GPS Systems. the case can be sold to the Navigation store for a big profit. it gets made into 10 GPS Systems, which allow you to see the island map.
