Knights needed on Battlezone

I would gladly take up the position, I don't abuse powers, I am fair, and give good warning if players are behaving inapropriatly, I have been a knight countless times, and been trusted by many.

So can I?

I think becoming knight/op/god/sysop should be on invitation, not on request.
People that request it usually abuse powers.

Ah, a firm beleiver that everyone fits into a pre-defined rule.

I request it because there is constant abuse going on in there, and there isn't anyone around who can deal with it, I am sick of it, and I have heard complaints many times from others too.
There are also logs which can be posted which can depict this, if necessary.

I can't think of a time I ever abused my powers for the sole purpose of gaining an unfair advantage, or to treat others badly, so I would apreciate it if you didn't suggest that I would do such a thing.

If not me, make SOMEONE a knight in there, it's all well saying "knighthood not on request" so make some knights then, right?

that seems to make sense to me anyway, i'm getting tired of hearing it, so if the owner doesn't want any knights, then expect a very unpopular world if people continue to get abuse.. It is also no good saying "talk to a world owner etc etc" because by then it's a bit late.

And oh yes, there's a player who drives noobs out of the world too, possibly loosing the game playerbase.

Does it sound like I want to abuse the powers? I just want to see some law about the place

well if u dont ask y would they even put u on OP or Knight its useless wtff and nigel dont even try it man they only put world owners and people they "love" just give ur starting money to them in a planet and they will make u a knight /op at there planet

knights/ops for the staff run worlds are selected by the staff observing and recieveing feedback from the ops group about other players.

The things we watch for are a good understanding of the game, helpfulness to new players , good participation in the forums and generally being nice people

giving your starting cash to a memeber of staff isnt likely to help very much

also being a world owner we would expect that player to have experience in managing other players... so that stands you in quite goods stead.

fyi the current list of Game Op's is....

World Owners are....

Zar,Tom, Mathew , Leigon, Junk, Jemrada, 10dollars, and dazjorz

and Staff are....

Mit, Device, Fooli, Hedgehog and Magicfinger

hopefully very soon all of the ops will have powers on staff worlds and the galaxy

(also most of the world owners are also ops )

I always thought it would have gone on previous knowledge of a personal also, sorry, I was mistaken.

everytime i log on there when there are players there there are always a few n00bs and i find myself having to teach them EVERYTHING cause they haven't read the guids don't know the buttons e.t.c

If so, I'd like to nominate Nigel - he's a damn good player, he knows the game, and he seems to want to help people (judging by the assorted spamming on how to help new players). He's been trusted with powers like this or even better before, never abused them, and he's obviously taken an interest in curbing what goes on on battlezone.

Gri20, maybe you should look at the situation before you try and flame anyone without good reason - also, try some punctuation.

but I guess reluctance should be expected....there're too many noobs who ask for it, difference is I guess, is that i'm not much of a noob anymore


I mean, even I give the odd groan and mild curse when I get blown to bits, but sometimes it seems like some enjoy taking it further than that, to become insulting, or to just generally take advantage of new players. some of the sexist and sexual slurs by one player actually made me feel ill.

I have witnessed this, and seen screenshots from a friend, so, like I said, I would be more tham happy to help. I wouldn't be asking if there was some law on the island, but there is 0. A lot of new players start here, and teaching them seems pointless when you have players (which I won't name for now) killing them until they leave out of fear.

Well i haven't been around for long but i've seen Nigel in battlezone and among cheaters and newbie rapers he's one of the few that i've actually seen helping someone, so i'd like to recommend him too as I think he's up to the job of putting some order in the mess battlezone is at the moment.
