How to change your name without making multies

posting this because recently i've been seeing people on zoric making multies while trying to change thier name.

changing your name is really quite simple.
after joining an island, hit F1 to enter small mode
Goto the View menu and select Gateways List a window will popup listing servers.
in the little window, goto the File Menu and select Change Name and Password
another window will come up. thier will onyl be one editable box, which is your in-game character name.
type in what you want, click OK.
close the gateways list window.
relog.
your characters name will now be what you chose.

chat channels do not go by this though. chat channels use the login name for chatting, not your characters name.

BUG: Names changed within planets, and not in the Galaxy.

SEVERITY: Very very very very very extremely outrageously low.

SYMPTOMS: After changing the name at View>Gateways List > File> Change Name and Passwords, your name in any of the planets are updated, with the new name. however, talking in space will give you your old name.

I posted here because that BUGS feature isn't fixed yet. I do like the idea- v. good. i'll post bugs here for now.

the chat server goes by account name. not planet name.
i believe this is to help prevent name changing confusion.

otherwords somebody could rename themselves and claim to be a gal god and get powers or something.
this doesen't happen on worlds since all that stuff is stored by account name.
