a day or two ago my ship and inventory reset, but i seem to still have some credits (170200CR), my kills/deaths are the same, and i still have a bounty + legal status as before. i certainly did not go through the reset procedure as far as i know, and i did not intend to reset my inventory in any way...

i am replying to my own reply and adding that closed source could be good for the players if mit somehow gets lots of money thrown at this project to hire a nice team of devs. :3

in response to theseer: i think you make valid points on why an open source TU wouldn't attract a developer to overhaul the game, and i suppose you are arguing from the perspective of the current developers of this game. what i mean by this is that even though it unlikely for a new dev to come along...
