Heh, I installed an ancient version of ZoneAlarm I used to use on winME, and now I can get in to the game (all hail Zonealarm). But it seems to lock up / give an error which I can't read because of the lock up when I try to enter a world. I'll try again in the morning. Thanks for all your help
