 The Universal is free to play because it's the work of an independent team of volunteers. As such, we're grateful for any donations you'd like to make to the game's ongoing development.
If you make a donation of $10 or more, you can name a star in the game universe - just tell us the name when you donate.
The star position will be chosen at random and the name will be used for that star on all future versions of the game. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any name we feel is unsuitable (obscene, libellous, trademarks etc).

What we do with the money..
Well...nothing much at the moment. What happens next depends mostly on how many donations we get. If it starts adding up, then a good part of the money will go towards advertising the game - hopefully making the galaxy more full and active, and the experience better for everyone.
If it adds up even more we might be able to look into proper publishing arrangements that would enable fulltime development of new game features and content. In the meantime, donations help us pay for web hosting, server bandwidth and the occasional bottle of whiskey. Hey, at least we're honest :) |
